April nodded though she was still confused as to why they'd called Derek. Right now wasn't the time to think of that though, so she stepped inside and followed Parker's direction into Eliot's bedroom.
What she saw, however, was no medical situation she'd ever encountered before. Never had she seen eyes looking this read. It wasn't just red the way eyes got when blood vessels ruptured, it was red as if someone had put a colored lens over the entire eye. Her first instinct was that Derek had to be right, this had to be related to a power of some kind. Not that she wouldn't rule out every other possibility first. There were plenty of reasons for red eyes - some very serious - and she was not about to miss one just because she'd made up her mind too soon.
"Hi Eliot," she said. "Why don't you start with telling me how this started and what you're experiencing at the moment. Can you see at all? How does it feel?" She stepped up to him and took his arm. "Sit down here," she said guiding him. "I'll take a look at you while you talk and we'll see if we can't figure out what's going on, okay?"
