Pan was out doing what he did best, what he had done best for the last several centuries. He was chasing tail, and without much success, which was pretty bar for the course for the past few centuries. He got around, just not as often as he would like. Tonight he was dressed up more than usual, which was to say he had tossed a sport coat over his tee shirt, ripped jeans and sandals. He had been following this girl down the Boulevard, she was all tits and legs in a skimpy gold dress that left just little enough to the imagination to drive Pan wild. Unfortunately for him, she did not seem terribly interested in the wild.
He followed her until she ducked into a night club, the mountain of a man serving as the bouncer happily let her in, but quickly stepped his suit clad form in front of the walkway when Pan tried to follow. She had given the bouncer a look, and the man had no intention of letting the raggedy skinny man bother the pretty lady in his club. Pan simply could not imagine what the problem could be. He grinned up at the man who was only slightly taller but easily three times his mass with a large grin. "Hey, man, it's ok. I'm with her." Pan motioned after the girl who had glided in just before him. The bouncer did not even frown, only shook his head, slowly.
"I don't think so."
"What? Of course I am, the ladies love me! See? Watch. Hey!" He shouted, leaning around the bouncer and waving into the club after the girl in the gold dress. The man in the dark suit did not even have to turn around to know that Pan was having no success. "Hello! Hi! You were flirting with me! Ok, if not you then--You! Hey! Hi there! ... HI!" NO luck at all for the formerly goat-legged man. He sighed then, giving up on the idea of having a girl wave him in. "Look, you've got to let me in. I'll be good for the club. I mean, look at me!" He motioned down his lean body. "I'm a chick magnet!"
