Klaus didn’t normally go out to bars to drink on his own, but when he did, he tended to drink the entire bar. His usual getup was his own personal stash in his room that was always fully stocked and ready for him whenever he needed it. However, the house was feeling a bit stuffy lately, what with the bit of bickering he and Elijah’d had over the network. For the most part, Klaus was over it. He didn’t want to think about it any more than was necessary, but at the same time, he didn’t want to have to see Elijah’s face on a daily basis. It was obnoxious and annoying, and they were not on speaking terms, thank you very much. All childish antics aside, Klaus figured it was best to leave the house for a while, just to see what sort of trouble he could get into by himself around here. The bar was naturally the first place he would hit up, if only for old time’s sake. This world or dimension, or whatever the hipsters were calling it these days, had aroused a mixture of emotions within Klaus. For one, this wasn’t New Orleans. Some of the problems were the same, but not as highly concentrated as it was in the Big Easy. He had both Hope and Hayley here, Caroline, and… an older version of Hope from the future. That was about the only thing that could make him smile these days, the thought of his beautiful daughter all grown up. Still, familial matters never ceased to be boring, and Elijah simply had to dredge up old wounds as per usual. Slamming down another shot, Klaus sighed as he stared at his empty glass. Drinking alone was no fun when he wasn’t shouting out orders at werewolves and vampires alike, but perhaps he needed this for the moment, the relative peace that came with being by himself. Hope was safe, at least, and his mind could rest easy in that aspect. Now, if he could only get the rest of his life back in order, everything would be just peachy. |
