Klaus had ordered the bartender to leave the bottle out and only to return when he needed it replenished. True to his word, the bartender obliged without much more coaxing and only came around when Klaus’s bottle was running low. He wasn’t sure if the bloke was doing this to earn some tips or if that was just the Hawaii way, but Klaus certainly approved of the service as well as the atmosphere of the place. So far, he hadn’t been bothered while here, and he’d a few moments of alone time at least. That is, until a familiar voice sidled up alongside him.
He couldn’t help the smirk that appeared on his lips, not necessarily mischievous but more like the knowing grin of someone who had it all figured out. “Stefan. What a pleasant surprise.” He tipped out what remained in the bottle into his shot glass before tossing it back and turning to face his old mate. “Never thought we’d find ourselves in Hawaii, now did we?” Stefan was the very last person on his mind at the moment, as had Katherine been up until Elijah had brought her up. He’d only really thought about Caroline while away from Mystic Falls, and even then, he couldn’t for the life of him find a reason to be upset with Stefan at the moment.
