WHO: Allison, Davina and later Lydia
WHERE: The Beach and then The Hospital
WHEN: Nowish?
WHAT: Davina stops Allison from self destructing, then they rescue Lydia
RATING: R
Allison had been taught to be very careful and precise when she was fighting. It was simply stupid to go into things blindly or full of heated emotion. Allison had been taught to carefully weigh decisions as the leader of The Argents and not to let her aggressive and possibly psychotic tendencies get the better of her, as they did with so many of her family members. Allison had lost herself once right after her mother had died. With her deranged grandfather whispering in her ear, betrayal not just from her father but from Scott, the only boy she had ever loved, and Kate's death still in her rearview, she wasn't equipped to handle her mother's unexpected death. It was easy to blame Derek even when she finally knew the truth because it was easier to hate him than it was to hate her father for facilitating an archaic and cruel practice that would leave a young woman motherless.
She was haunted even after she had regained her sense of self. Allison was stronger than anyone knew and mostly surprised herself when she had pulled herself back from the brink. It would be very easy to give up on everything after Gerard literally tried to trade her life for his own. Everyone lied, everyone died. It was just the way of the world. But somewhere in her naivety she had assumed she was above it all somehow. She led a dangerous life but would never die and she lied sometimes but only when it was called for. Her justifications for her own hypocrisy were endless and boring but made perfect sense to her.
Breaking up with Scott was a no brainer. She was no good for him and she really hoped he wouldn't wait for her. She hadn't meant to go ahead and fall for Isaac but it had happened despite her own best intentions. Now that they had appeared and been pointed out to her, she couldn't shake him. Maybe it was that stupid ritual, the one where she died for her father and Isaac brought her back to life. She was a sacrifice and that was okay because it was something she had consented to. She hadn't agreed to die for whatever Stiles's cause had been. She might have known more had she bothered to stop and let him talk to her but he seemed to be in his own rush and she wasn't in the mood to watch him waffle from one side of his ADHD riddled mind to the next. She believed him without question, Stiles being one of the few people she knew who had never lied to her.
The fact was she did remember dying and she had chosen it. Deaton had warned her there would be darkness in her heart after this and she felt it now. Maybe this was what he meant but if that were the case, why hadn't he prepared her more for this? And where was Scott? He had died too. How many times could a person die anyway?
Her bow made a satisfying THWACK! sound every time she sent another arrow towards the small group of vampires she had spotted on the beach. She managed to take two of them down before they reached her on the crest of sand she had strategically planted herself on. Allison was a long range weapons kind of girl but sometimes she just needed to get her hands dirty. She pulled a long hunting knife out of her pocket and instead of backing way off from the infected vampires that outnumbered her, she engaged. A long swipe of her knife sent a spray of blood splattering across the sand, she had just enough strength to decapitate one of them before another grabbed her.
She was strength and grace and utterly deadly but also human and outnumbered. One of the vampires grabbed her by her arm and wrenched her knife away only to meet her bow face first. She knocked him back and then kicked him in the chest but there were more still. This was probably a very bad idea.
Oh well. How many times could a girl die anyway?
