Sighing her frustration, Wanda slammed the cover shut on the heavy leather tome she'd been reading, then shoved it away with distaste. Latin wasn't generally easy to parse, and there was more pressure to figuring it out when you were trying to learn dangerous spells without accidentally killing yourself, or worse. Wanda had already suffered through the "worse". Losing her soul due to a mistranslated spell and her subsequent horrifying possession were the catalysts to this revival of Daimon's grudging tutelage. Awkward and sometimes contentious as their relationship often was now, it was obvious that her arcane understanding was sub par and that a teacher was necessary. But right now she simply couldn't focus.
Rubbing her eyes, Wanda ignored the discarded book and glanced around Daimon's mostly empty shop. The proprietor was not here at the moment, out running some errands, but a couple customers milled around the shelves. His sister was here, too, lounging behind the counter while she covered for Daimon's usual shopkeeper. Wanda studied her surreptitiously; she found the other woman fascinating, even though they hadn't spent much time together. Which was mostly to do with Wanda's wish to remain in Daimon's good graces, and her uncertainty as to whether he'd be annoyed if she befriended the sister who seemed more often than not to irritate him. It was difficult not to like Satana, though, when she could so expertly get under her brother's skin, and Wanda had to admire a woman who breezed through life secure in the knowledge of exactly what she wanted and just how to get it.
Daimon's opinion be damned, she decided, Wanda wanted to get to know her. At the very least, Satana would be an interesting acquaintance and, besides, there was likely an awful lot of magical information a succubus could impart. Really, this potential friendship could be good for her. "Hey," Wanda said, finally breaking the silence. She shot Satana a sidelong look down the length of glass display top they shared. "Marry Fuck Kill. Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, and Hank Pym?"
