As much as Tony enjoyed a bit of gossip, this kind was boring; it didn't involve him and, so far, it was serving him poorly. Maybe if they were stuck for another couple of days, the fear of mortality would start to set in and Tony could reap the benefits. Right now, it was mostly dark and tedious. "Is that what your 'date' is?" he asked, because he should have been skeptical from the start. "That's what your calling administering detentions now?" Tony's spark continued to float just ahead of them, its knot of thready lights transforming as they moved until it seemed to settle for the briefest moment by a wall and flutter through an array of colours. Tony went to the wall as it carried on its bouncing down the corridor, making it do a frantic turnabout as Tony walked confidently straight through the solid stone.
