"I have no idea how that kid made it out of training at Kodiak. Doesn't remember a thing I tell him," Danny shook his head. Maybe they were just that hard pressed for rangers these days, or maybe there was some potential in the kid Danny hadn't seen yet. Whatever, he was here to help them hone their combat skills, judging their overall suitability for the program wasn't his job (unless they were just really terrible at fighting).
Danny followed Wing, smiling, and watched her select a staff. Contrary to her joke he was happy to see her. He counted Colleen among the friends he was making around here, a fellow martial artist that he respected and who seemed to respect him despite that fact that he'd come in as an outsider to the military system to train people within it. Not everyone gave him that courtesy.
"You need a partner or are you just practicing?" he asked, prepared to step in and spar with her if she wanted.
