Wanda
Despite their father's objections, Wanda and her brother enlisted at the Jaeger academy at Kodiak Island, Alaska in 2023, when they were twenty years old. Wanda's reasons for joining stemmed partially out of a sense of vengeance but more because, having watched the project brought to life from the ground up, she simply couldn't imagine doing anything else. Whether he intended to or not, their father practically raised them into it. After a particularly terrible fight with Erik soon after she started piloting she changed her name her mother's maiden name Maximoff and has not spoken to her father since.
Wanda and Pietro did well in the academy, having spent the last eight years picking up training around the LA Shatterdome from the rangers, techs, and teachers stationed there. Their drift compatibility came naturally, close as they'd been all their lives, and they are very fast at initiating the Neural Handshake. They both, however, have problems keeping focused. Post training they are stationed at the LA Shatterdome and, after seven years (and several mishaps), the twins have become capable pilots. They are well known for their strange run of good luck that has time and again brought them to victory from the brink of disaster.
Their Jaeger Mercury Siren is sleek and fast and, unlike other mechs, theirs runs horizontally so that Pietro controls its legs and Wanda controls its arms. In addition to its speed, the Mercury Siren can generate spheres of red plasma from its energy cannons at its hands to shoot at enemies. The Mercury Siren is (much to his chagrin), a design their father created for use on a Jaeger he intended to have built for he and Charles after the accident, so that he could work the legs and Charles the arms, but Charles never wanted to pilot again.
