Xavier's presence filled the mental landscape and the memory replayed itself with a small alteration. There were voices. Plenty of sound from the fighting, but when people spoke... there was only the moving of the mouth. It would be odd to Logan if he could remember what they had been saying. But he couldn't, not anymore. Maybe it was just too loud to hear them?
Again it played through Logan's head. But this time, Logan was by himself. Victor never showed up. Logan spoke to nothing, became disgusted at something he likely only imagined. Had he been able to remember that Victor was supposed to be there, the man called Wolverine would have found the experience odd. But he couldn't. Because as far as he could remember, Victor had never caught up to him and he had gone on alone.
A third time it played. And as it did, there was no sound, the images faded into nothing even as they appeared and when it was done... Logan could never remember it being there. He likely was wondering why Xavier's mental image was standing next to him doing nothing. Wasn't the professor supposed to be removing a memory?
Xavier smiled knowingly, "You need to lead me to the memory you want gone, Logan."
