Jean knocked aside the microscope with a touch of her own abilities, rattling it with enough force to burst it into tiny pieces all over the floor. The energy blast shocked her slightly, but she threw up her shield, the amber glow saving her from being complete toast at the hands of the doctor. The red-head lashed out herself, hitting with everything she had.
This surprised the scientist and he had to throw up his own forcefield to keep from being pushed back. As it was, the effort needed to keep himself from being sent flying by the sheer force of her blast made it so he couldn't immediately retaliate.
Jean smirked coldly at the response, watching with satisfaction at the sight him struggling now to fly back with her blast. By now, she was gone...flames licked at her frame, her hands glowed, matching her eyes before she lashed out with her fire instead, determined to roast him for everything he had done to her. "Child am I?"
His expression darkened and he shoved himself aside and away from her blast, his form melting into a inky black goo that flew towards her, intending to suffocate her up close and personal, "A dead child!"
Jean was not herself anymore, there wasn't a ounce of the kid telepath in her skinny body and as he rushed towards her she flew upwards, casting herself in another shield licked with flames. She could feel his matter, every particle and everything that made him up, she ripped into him, pulling apart the molecules as if they were nothing.
Sinister found being torn apart. Further surprise flooding his thoughts, not only at the idea of the girl being able to do this, but at the pain that accompanied it. He realized he had only moments left in his current form before it was cast away. He focused his mind, no longer on the woman before him, but on his flesh and blood, calling out in as close to desperation as he was capable for Gambit to run, to hit the self-destruct and leave this place.
With a silent curse, his body disintegrated in the flames.
Jean fell back, landing easily and the shield fell from around her slender frame, green eyes still glowing slightly. He was gone, she had felt him being ripped apart and she kind of liked it. That scared her more than anything else, but she quickly pushed it aside and headed to find the others.
