"I just liquidize and put something sweeter on the floor, honey," Tony corrected rapidly, almost on top of her words. He didn't ease off for a breath, his tongue touching his teeth, then he was flicking his wrist and shifting his weight, turning jaunty in a beat with his thumb hooked over his belt. "Unless you're not into the floor, I can be very accommodating," he allowed.
Obviously, quitting wasn't a skill he had, and he'd been said 'no' to enough times to know you just had to hold out for 'yes'. He couldn't possibly agree with her that having what he wanted withheld was at all healthy. It just made him irritable, when the alternative was they could both end up indulged and satisfied. Point was, saying 'no' wasn't very good for either of them. She knew that just as well as he did. She wouldn't have bothered with him otherwise-- after all, he had a reputation.
