So this is what it’s like to be in space. On the flight up out of Earth’s atmosphere Peter had been afflicted with a mix of excitement and horror. Dozens of images of bad sci-fi horror movies flashed in his head. In space no one can hear you scream! But, here they were now. A collection of earth’s lamest. All on one ship. God help them.
With these thoughts in mind, Spidey had made his way to the ship’s large side window and he peered down at his small lonely planet. It looked so small, so insignificant. For once Peter was glad of the mask covering his face. Right now it hid the worry all over his face. How could he be up here fighting Fury’s fight, when Venom was running around the city with his secret identity! What about Aunt May! What about Cassie? He didn’t owe them this. Space wasn’t his fight. This was a Fury favor. Part of him though, knew worrying about this was entirely useless. He was up here now. There was nothing to be done about it now.
Spider-Man turned away from the ship’s window at the sound of someone moving around. He spotted Spider-Woman and gave her a small wave. Maybe it was the sight of a familiar set of powers or code name, but Spidey drew comfort from Jessica. After all they had made a pretty good team against the Hulk. “Hi.”
