It took Tommy several minutes to register what was going on with his mother. He just could keep up with normal motions. His eyes had a glazed over look and he just stared back at the ceiling for a while. He would have tried to get up and look at her but moving hurt too much. God, everything hurt. Why was having to live slow like this. Even in juvie detention- they had let move in super speed for a while.
This shield cell was killing him. Literally. He couldn’t last much longer here. Everyone who’d seen him knew it. That was probably the real reason why they wouldn’t let him see his brother or his team mates. He was going to die here, and for what?
