Interestingly enough, she wasn't taken back by the sudden motion and thus didn't try to resist his efforts, but instead met his gaze. It was obvious she was bothered, but she rather enjoyed the gentle grip he had on her hand and her chin and listening seemed to cool her resentful disposition. It had taken her a very long time to convince herself, but he was right in everything he said. She was a good person, HYDRA was weak and--what? Jessica continued to watch him curiously. There were so many ways to interpret that, but to her, the safest thing to do was to just...not. She didn't want to make an ass out of herself. Especially not in front of him.
"Thanks," she mumbled. With a soft sigh, she leaned back and stared ahead in silence. Occasionally she made a glance in Nick's direction and opened her mouth like she wanted to say something. But in the end she'd just shake her head. Well, this was awkward.
