Lorna nodded along, taking a moment to gather her thoughts and consider how to go about this without naming names or giving anything away.
"Well... He's in politics. A um... Governor and political activist... of sorts. He does a lot of stuff. Um... distant, like I said. Very passionate about his work and those he represents, but... not very... well, I guess with having just met me and all I shouldn't have expected him to fall all over me and do father-daughter stuff. I'm probably lucky he even liked the idea of having me around. We do share a couple things in common and he was nice enough about those when it came up. And he's pretty old, too. Not sure exactly, I didn't ask when he was born or anything, but he looks to be in his sixties."
She rested her chin on one hand, "He couldn't tell me much about my mother, though. She died when I was three so I never really knew her either. But apparently she was a supporter of his during a um... capaign way back before I was born. But left before she had me and didn't even tell him. From what he said, it wasn't over any bad blood or anything, she just chose to move on to something else. So he had no idea I existed until recently. He never did mention how he found out about me... But probably through the same avenues I did..."
