Slowly, Tony's eyes wandered back up to Steve's face, like a child who knew he was in trouble and had to face the repercussions. They had to drop quickly again to maintain the act, Tony covering the twitch of a smirk at the corner of his mouth with a quiet cough. Checkmate.
"You need to talk to Wanda," he said abruptly, focus sharpening as he straightened again with his shoulders back and chin up, all business, like they had never slipped from it. Like whatever just happened didn't really matter or effect him in any way-- God, wasn't that an obvious ploy, just ignoring it, like he couldn't even handle it, never mind.
"Look, it's no big deal," there, make your stance clear, no room for interpretation. He dropped the boardroom act just as quickly as he donned it, shoulders dropping and one hand waving carelessly. "If you want me to help you out, dude-- I was just surprised, you know."
