She was graciously given her space to recover as she saw fit, Tony pouting thoughtfully towards the ceiling like there was something fascinating there to be considered, and shooting warm smiles towards guests that caught his eye. When it became clear that a full recovery wasn't to be achieved, Tony turned his grin back on her, moving as if to offer his hand again. The action extended, though, and he took her elbow without waiting permission, casually guiding her around so her back was to her escape route, drawing her closer so that hand could skip over her shoulder and push the last stray locks of hair back. Her only assured distance was Tony's arm kept locked against his chest between them.
"That's a shame. No 'Merry Christmas', then? I think there's a gift for you under the tree. Did Reed get his?" he tested, focus only flitting away for a second like he might spot the flake in the crowd and back away before he was caught. If he wasn't here, well, all the merrier for Tony.
