He gave a small nod at her suggestion. “Ok, to your room it is.” He opened the front door to the mansion and stepped in after Jean. While he walked around following Jean, the grandson of Magneto couldn’t help but look around. Every time Tommy came to this place he was surprised at how big it really was inside. Whoever had built this mansion had obviously spared no expense. There always seemed something new being built for the school. Rich mutant guy owned the place. Charles Xavier, wasn’t it?
There were a lot of kids roaming the halls too, kids about his age. Though, Thomas could never see himself living here. Although he was also a mutant and a superhero, Tommy just wasn’t one for crowds. He’d gotten his fill of that while still a Juvie. The institute was packed with mutant students. All of them came here to train in use of their powers. That was another reason Speed wouldn’t have fit in. Tommy knew how to control his powers, he didn’t need some bald guy lecturing at him.
He continued following her into her room pausing only once or twice to glance back at the students looking their way. Curious bunch weren’t they?
As Tommy moved to shut Jean’s door, he turned to smile at her question. “Alright, simple enough. I wanted to know what you thought.. about us?” He moved to sit on her bed and played with her pillows while calmly waiting on a response.
