Thomas watched his mother with a strange expression on his face. He wondered briefly what she was thinking. Before all of this, Tommy would have never thought about God. What was the point? Where was Jesus when Tommy had needed him. He recalled those days in that super villain camp when AIM screwed with his head. People lived and died without any meaning at all to the madness with no god to save them.
This all changed after getting trashed by the Hulk. Tommy was alone. I was beaten near to death by a monster in the dark. After facing something like that well he needed to get a grasp on something.
“A distant star. I can understand that. If there is a God, after everything that’s happened I think I hate him.”
He listened to words further and a hard edge hit his face. “Flatly indifferent.”
