She nodded slowly. It made sense, sort of. "So how long am I going to be here? How long do the doctors say I need to stay in bed?"
Lorna could deal with being in the room while she healed. Then she'd move back to her little apartment and maybe get Magneto to teach her some stuff. Enough perhaps that if something like the Hulk taking out New York happened again she could be of more use than acting as a punching bag while other people ran.
"I... I know you don't much care for the people there, but... But I do, okay. So please don't get mad at me for asking... but... um... do you know if those I was trying to help survived? I... I just kind of need to know if they did. So if you don't know that's fine, I can probably call up the institute and ask over there, but... Do you k-know if J-jean... Marvel Girl... if she's okay? And S-storm?" Her head dropped and Lorna had to suck on her lower lip pretty hard to keep the tears choking up her voice from falling. She didn't want to cry in front of him. Jean and Storm had been right there when she was taken out. Maybe they hadn't survived to help and that's why Magneto had gotten to her first. She didn't think she could take it if they were dead. Because that would be her fault.
