For all of General Fury's gentle intentions, Teddy still shrank a little when the man actually addressed him, prepared for something strange and gruff they way he had been staring. And because it was Nick Fury. Teddy was pretty sure he didn't have anything in common with Nick Fury, but then, this one was quite evidently different from the one he knew. Still, he doubted they would find common ground in Teddy's collection of Batman trades.
"Um," he started awkwardly, pressing his hands together between his knees and shrugging. He had yet to tell anyone here where his powers came from-- he would rather not know how they would react. Saying 'Skrull' back at home was bad enough, and he was prepared for it. So it was a mumble when he tried to explain, "Super strength, I guess. And I can shapeshift, like..." He trailed off, trying to find an appropriate comparison that didn't seem incriminating under General Fury's studious gaze, but 'Mystique' didn't seem like the best person to compare himself to. So he ended up pressing his lips together, and shrugging again.
