Well, that had been effective. Maybe not as much as he would have liked, but it had gotten a reaction. Once more, good to know for the future. Claws still in his face, looked like he wasn't going to get off scott free, but he'd caused the animal to pause. That was good enough for now.
"Yeah, far from helpless. Right." He spoke dryly, but had nothing else to really say. This coming from the guy with metal claws and rapid healing. A breathing killing machine. He was helpless compared to him.
"I'm stating the facts," he half hissed, but the fight was clearly draining out of him. Like a wild stallion, he had thrown up his last, best blow, now that it had failed, he was out of options, he could only accept the saddle. "You've got too much faith in one person," he scoffed softly, breathing a slow sigh. "But it's your funeral. Fine, running is not a good idea. I get it." Now he could only wait and see what the feral was going to do.
