"No!" Teddy agreed, or rather, just exclaimed quickly, launching forward in his seat and gripping his shins. He didn't want her thinking he came here for some kind of confrontation, that was the last thing Teddy wanted. "I mean, I don't...I don't know if you should change your mind," he tried to clarify, then huffed with frustration towards his lap, not knowing how to put this. But he came here knowing that Cassie would at least kind of understand-- it was her that planted the seed, anyway.
Scrunching his nose, Teddy still needed to steel himself by fumbling and pointing out, "You can't tell-- I mean, I don't think Billy'll understand yet, I think he feels bad about this whole thing, so, but." He left it there, glancing around again, taking some comfort in how obviously safe and welcoming and so much better it was here, if only just in this room. When he finally met her eyes again, he continued, "But I think I want to stay, too."
