Cassie's grin returned at Tony's words and she gave a little chuckle. "Toni is not a name for a princess! Maybe Antoinette would've worked, but Elizabeth is a Queen." Cassie wanted to laugh or to cry. This was wonderful and terrifying. How was it possible that the Cassie here had the same memories she had? But then- everything else seemed to be mostly the same. So she supposed it was logical, maybe plausible. Still, it was incredibly unnerving and heart achingly relieving. This new knowledge only strengthened the resolve that had been forming in Cassie's mind since she'd arrived in this universe.
She reached out and tentatively touched the fingers of suit in a friendly gesture. When her hand hit his there was a faint ping, the sound of the only piece of jewelry she wore hitting the plastic of the suit. For a moment she stared at the ring on her pinky finger and then pulled it off to examine it in the wan glow of the city lights. It was an oval aquamarine, her birthstone, set into a wide silver band with an inscription on the inside that read Love from the Avengers. It had been her collective birthday present from her father's colleagues when she'd turned ten. Her eyes strayed from the inscription and up to Tony's and she held it out to him, questioning. "Did your Cassie have one too?"
