There was finally a falter in Tony's burning observation, the way she stumbled over her words causing a narrowing of his eyes and a reactive twitch at the corner of his mouth. Is- was? Was that the way they were referring to their home-world now; past tense? Had they decided to leave it behind? That one wasn't as jarring as the aborted 'Uncle', though. He didn't even realize he had been waiting for it.

He disregarded the fact that if any of her accomplices tried to get familiar with him they'd be subject to a whole lesson on respect in a single, sharp glare.
