Green eyes looked up, falling on his face, studying the expression and the eyes resting there. "Yes." It was a simple answer and she one she hadn't thought would be part of her vocabulary tonight. For one, she had a job and for another she hadn't been planning on running into Mr. Stark again...or remembering all the stupid mistakes she had made in letting herself become swayed because of curiousity. Didn't they always say curiousity killed the cat? In this case, it was more then true. If she had kept her word and taken him out in the first place, then she wouldn't have been tortured and she wouldn't have gone down to New Orleans to protect his sorry ass from anymore assassination attempts.
She wouldn't have died, in other words.
Even now, she was hesitant to totally leave his side for fear of the Black Cat popping up and pouncing upon him before she had a chance to draw her sai from the tight folds of her dress. Her green eyes narrowed in interest, leaning forward slightly on her bar stool, like a tigress waiting to pounce. All her muscles were tense, as they always were, waiting for the next attack that never came...or could if she wasn't prepared. Part of her was still waiting for the cuffs to come out. "Why?"
