Jean nodded, everything up close changed. Nothing was as it seemed in this world...nothing. Perhaps if she had been able to read his mind she would have been able to pick up on the real meaning behind the statement, but his thoughts were still too fast for her...segments were all she got.
Before she could respond, the silver hared boy had scooped her up and she was sitting piggy back style in his arms. Flushing deeply at the contact and being so close to him, the teen fumbled for the response. "Actually, both..." The words only made her turn brighter red. The only people that came to the mansion for her were her parents and they didn't come anymore since she fried people in New York.
The question was enough to pull her from the blushing reverie and she bit her lip for a moment in thought. He could really take her to the city? He was that fast? Her thoughts drifted to Lorna for a moment...would she be okay? Jean still felt horrible, she would have to make it up to the girl when she returned...somehow. "The city would be awesome." Speed Pass? Was it possible to die from blushing so much?
