To You, I will Always Return.... Characters: Rogue; OT Gambit Setting: Hotel Content: Play times for the kiddies they are babysitting...sort of. Summary: Rogue brings the kids with her to see Remy...no other reason
With the rush of mutants leaving for Lousiana, Rogue was not among them. She wasn't sure if she would have gone anyway, but the kids kept that decision from her mind. Her assignment was to keep the children safe and with her, so far she had complied with the agreements. Xavier was not pleased wth her and on several occasions called her to his office in which Rogue had attempted to lie to his face. It was a pointless effort, he was a telepath and could read her thoughts easily. He knew where she was and that her loyalty no longer resided with him or the X-Men...he probably knew about the children too. Even so, he didn't tell her to leave...not out right, just with a stuble hinting of a better place for her. Was it possible the professor was growing weary of her troublemaking ways? Or he knew that she was no longer a firm believer in his dream of peace...that perhaps she had never been.
Rogue packed her bags, bringing the boys with her and left the mansion almost as promptly as she had come. It was a few hours drive, but soon she was in the city and in search of a particular hotel. The boys walked beside her, quiet as always and faces looking like they were carved from stone. The city had taken the threat of the infection in Lousiana seriously and most wore masks upon their faces, still people roamed though. Business and the world at large didn't stop...especially when the threat had not quite reach you yet. Rogue was not among them in this endeavor and instead donned a long dark jacket and ankle boots with leggings, dark top hanging low enough to reveal only a small amount of pale skin. Gloves were on her hands as always, her fingers gripping the boy's tightly. The only message she had left was for Nate, he hadn't picked up, but she had promised to let him know where she was. Everyone figured she was on one of her random wanderings again exceot for him.
Finally spotting the hotel, the brunette slipped through the sliding doors, wind tossing her hair behind her shoulders. It was a nice hotel, plush carpeting and exotic plants in pots were placed at the doors and around the desks. The lobby was filled, tourism hadn't taken a break since the virus. She slipped through the crowd and knelt over the desk, green eyes studying the face of employee behind her glasses. "I'm looking for a Mr. Remy LeBeau...is he in by any chance?" She asked, chin propped in her gloved hand as the receptionist nodded and went to call up to the room.
