It was an effortless climb to the top. Jessica settled in a nook of branches, more at ease up there than she ever did down at the bottom. She had nothing to be nervous about up high, and the less agitated she was, the more her pheromones let up. Her mood even lightened up. A little. It was hard to stay pissed off around Danny and the infuriatingly positive vibes he gave out.
