Already this was going a helluva lot better than she expected, but she wasn't about to breathe easy just yet. That look couldn't be deciphered; Claire smiled and slowly lowered her hands, glancing briefly toward the door, hoping everyone was too busy to have heard the loud roar from earlier.
"I apologize on behalf of the one who stuck you. First day." She chuckled wryly and stepped a little closer. "Crazy first day, poor guy. Adrenaline spikes don't typically last long, but I saw it was injected into your hand, and sometimes there's loss of blood flow and that can be really uncomfortable." Holding a hand out gingerly, she asked, "Mind if I take a look?"
