"I've been fine," she answered, distracted by loud honks and irate shouting. The traffic was getting worse the further they walked, even for rush hour. Wanda noticed bright orange signs with a warning that there would be a wormhole ahead, and men in vests were waving traffic along detoured routes. Blocks away the sky overhead was rippling strangely, and Wanda couldn't stare at it too long without feeling uneasy. She'd seen the news that there was supposed to be wormhole in Brooklyn, but she hadn't realized they'd be quite so near to it. And to what was sure to be a lot of police and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. So much for keeping away from trouble. "Never a dull moment here," Wanda remarked, nodding towards the sky ahead. The sidewalks were getting fuller, too, people either grudgingly leaving the evacuation zone or pressing towards the barriers streets over to try and watch the show. Wanda took Daimon's arm as an anchor against the throng around them as the light changed and they all crossed an intersection, weaving among cars that chose to pull into the cross-walk before their light went red.
