Lorna didn't react as fast as an X-Man would have... but the training thus far had apparently paid off in the fact that she did react at all.
The car never hit the squad of officers diving for cover from the flung vehicle. It hovered in the air and with a great deal of effort on the part of the green-haired girl, floated off to settle at one side. Her hair was flaring out like Jean's, both hands raised and directed toward the car. She didn't even notice the people pointing at her, the cameras being pulled out.
Once the car was set down, Lorna directed her focus at the guns, yanking them from police hands and crumpling them all up in a single large ball of metal that then dropped to the ground, traces of electricity charging over the surface.
It was exhausting. She fell to her knees, breathing heavily, "Jean?"
