Awkward team-up with Jess!
As a kid, Danny had been allergic to bees, and a particular episode when he was five traumatized him. Logically, he understood that as an adult he'd outgrown the allergy (an allergist had told him so) and that even if he were allergic, he could probably fight off the reaction with his chi (if he could beat a poison, he reasoned he could beat an allergy, though he'd never had occasion to do so). Logic played no part here, though, when his primal reaction to huge bees was to dive beneath a nearby table. He was soon joined by a few more non-super-powered cowards and it was enough to shame him into sticking his head out. And nearly having his forehead grazed by a stinger. Danny withdrew again, trying to talk himself into getting out there and helping people. Because punching a bee was really going to be useful. Still, he needed to get out, and he needed to help Lee and make sure Colleen and Misty were okay. Shaking his head, he hoped the girls hadn't seen his reaction (he would never ever live that down). Danny gestured for the people sharing his table hideaway to follow him as he climbed out, promising he'd get them to safety.
