The impulse might not have even been there if Rand hadn't taken apparently every chance to be condescending, but now Jessica couldn't help but pull a face at his back as she hauled the ninja away from the wall to tip over the railing. By the sound of it, he took out that table below.
The scene in the bedroom suggested they had really wasted their effort and blood here, because the old dude was pretty on top of the problem. Jessica wrinkled her nose at the bodies, not completely sure if they were dead and not eager to find out, looking back the way they had come instead for the quickest exit. This situation seemed to be in some kind of hand now, she didn't really need to be here-- she shouldn't have been here in the first place. That in mind, she barely considered the trail of groaning pain left behind them, because she wasn't officially employed in this fight and it really didn't seem like something anyone should casually walk into--Jessica was in no position to begin some interrogation process about this mob boss lady.
Jessica licked her lips, barely making eye contact with the old guy before taking her first slow steps back out of the room.
