Tony went, "Oh," because he wasn't sure if this was a catch-you-when-it-isn't-flu-season 'get well soon' or a you're-not-likely-to 'get well soon'. He knew which one he hoped for, and not only because Cap had a wide enough lead on him in the popularity contest without Iron Man fans getting beaten by their own bodies. It did seem to trend amongst them. Was that karma? Or did Tony only happen to see the deliriously hot side of Cap's fandom because Cap didn't invite him along to hospital visits, either? "The Devil of Hell's Kitchen?" he had to ask, though, because while he accepted his status with Captain America, he couldn't really believe he was a second choice after that dude. His costume had little horns on it and he hit people with sticks. Meanwhile, he had taken the magazine to scrawl, 'Maria, Wish you were here!' then hesitated, because he had found postcards exactly like that addressed to his mom in her office once, hundreds of them probably, that he had thrown out, making the sentiment sound terribly dishonest and Tony without a better way to express himself to a person he didn't know. He quickly finished, 'Tony', and handed it back with his gaze back on Cap, saying, "Did you hear that? You've got a fan, Winghead, stand down."
