An organization, no matter how well designed Characters: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark Setting: Stark Enterprises, Afternoon (following this) Content: Business Summary: Work still needs to be done
Even before Tony had took up his work as Iron Man, Pepper was used to rescheduling meetings on the fly. It was a special art, keeping all parties calm and unaware of the real reason it was being pushed for the third time. And then he started putting on that suit and suddenly it wasn't that he was passed out somewhere with a handful of girls, but instead he was passed out under a pile of rubble. And of course when he first started no one was supposed to know it was him, so there were more lies. Even now most partners didn't take to well to being delayed for a bareknuckle boxing match with some space monster. They far preferred the vague 'something came up' excuse, followed with an expensive muffin basket or some other apology.
Today's teleconference had been scheduled for first thing in the morning, but so far the portals didn't stick to any kind of schedule Pepper had been able to enforce, and she was on the phone moving it as Iron Man streaked across the sky.
It was no secret was Tony did, not any more, but still when people were dealing with Mr. Stark they expected the two worlds to be kept separate. It was a delicate illusion, but much easier to pretend their fortunes weren't in the hands of someone who might be crushed any day.
Pepper patted more foundation over the bruising on Tony's cheek with a frown. "They're launching the PÅtaru project today, they want to go over the final numbers with you before they initiate. They're also looking to open another lab in Osaka. And then after this we have the beta team coming in to discuss the latest readings from the barrier. You'll probably want to put on pants for that."
