Jessica snorted, but he was right- strange occurrences were hardly surprising anymore, especially lately, with how constant those wormholes seemed to be churning out chaos. She treated Nick's lament as something private, quiet until it passed. Jessica had faced the portal monsters a few times herself, kept herself updated. She understood the frustration. The wormholes and the things that came out of them were terrifying. More because there wasn't yet a way to explain their existence. "What does that mean?" she asked wryly, showing interest.
