"I don't know," Wanda shrugged. She had no real idea of the limits of her power, and even though she'd pressed a little harder this time, she wasn't sure that guaranteed them much time. Frowning at Pietro, she shook her head, guessing at his line of thought. She couldn't really fault him for it, though, even if she didn't approve.
So far they'd had to steal to survive, a little money here and there for food, stealing clothes and necessities, and technically they were even stealing this apartment. What was stealing more money to make their living situation more secure? But it would just keep escalating and no justification made it seem any more right. Worse, Wanda was genuinely afraid of what kind of trouble Pietro might get himself into if he tried to get his hands on larger sums. It wasn't worth it. "We could try to find work," she suggested, resigned. There were many reasons they hadn't tried, not least of all because she, at least, didn't want to accept that their predicament might be a permanent one.
