Tony went, "Hey," catching her by the ankle so she couldn't withdraw just yet, not when she was mad at him for the injustices of society. They were supposed to be able to trust each other, even when everyone else was a disappointment, and he already didn't do enough to hold up his end of the bargain. "You are respected. You scare the pants right off of everybody around here with how sharp you are, and here is where it matters. Besides," he said, giving her foot a pat, "what's wrong with being a slutty tease?" Some of Tony's favourite people fit that description. That didn't make them any less capable, brilliant or deadly. "Are you really mad about that?" he had to wonder, finally letting her go if she still really wanted to, but he still had a thumb skimming along the arch of her foot. "Because I have some pictures of you when you first started here, and you have cultivated a very different image for yourself."
