"They don't seem too fond of Daimon, either," she remarked, recalling the nurse's exasperation when Wanda woke. "I'm glad you've both been here," Wanda glanced away, feeling a fresh swell of tears that she valiantly held back for Jess's sake as much as her own. "I don't deserve you, and I don't know what I'd do without you." When her voice broke she finally let go of Jessica's hand and took a long gulp from a water cup, closing her eyes now to get herself under control. They didn't need an encore performance of their waterworks. When she could talk again she asked, "Where have you been staying?" She couldn't imagine that Jess had gone back to their place, it was too horrible. They would have to find something new.
