This was not at all what Sitwell had prepared for, and now the housewarming bottle of wine he had brought felt very awkward in his hands. The party was already underway by the time he arrived with Jan, giving him several reasons to regret not being around to help set up. Including letting Jan dress him. He gave a tug at his collar, slipping through the room to cut a path for Jan to follow, trying to find a reasonable place to leave the bottle before anyone caught him in a conversation with it and it got even more awkward. Who were all these people? Colleen and Misty hadn't even been on the planet (were they designating this man made monstrosity a planet?) for months and they had more friends than Sitwell suspected he had back on Earth. "Oh, hey, karaoke!" he announced to Jan in case she couldn't see over the crowd, looking genuinely excited for a flash before getting self-conscious and glancing around again. There was food, and some cups-- he could just tuck this wine behind the rest of those bottles there and maybe no one would notice it until the tap ran low. "Hungry?" he asked while they were there, nudging a bowl inquisitively to find out if it was a punch or a jello. It was usually a jello with his family, but very rarely one in New York, so he didn't know why he kept checking. "Hey, do you eat a lot of jello?" Sitwell and his rowdy party talk. Getting drunk had never seemed so integral.
