Jessica acquiesced, straightening up (shit--ow) a little taller with Iron Man at her side. As far as taking it to the extreme, the demon was doing a splendid job of that already. This situation was more delicate than SHIELD seemed to realize, though she also accepted Nick's terms and wet her lips to add, "Wanda isn't doing any of this." That they dissociated her from that monster was important to Jessica; Wanda wouldn't go after her sister-in-law and her child. She wouldn't do this to her, or to Tony, or to anyone. She was just a victim to that demon as they were. No, what she was going through was so much worse than the hits Jessica and Tony took. That thing was living in her mind, killing her from the inside. Jessica couldn't remember much of her own possession and how that felt, and she couldn't imagine the torture that her friend endured within. She looked to Nick and frowned. She needed him to understand that.
