Although she was as happy to see Tony as he seemed to be to see her, the exchange left Cassie feeling a little flustered. She hunched and crossed her arms with a teenager's hallmark surliness, but managed an awkward smile and a mumbled "nice to meet you" to the doctor when they were introduced. By the end of their conversation, Cassie was blushing with embarrassment both at Tony's compliments and at the joke about her marrying some stranger kid. She'd almost forgotten what Tony could be like sometimes.
"I'm fifteen," she blurted when the conversation was finished, a reminder in case Tony really wasn't sure (at least one birthday had passed since she'd seen him last) and because Dr. Cho obviously needed to know. Cassie gave the number all the emphasis of someone who was new to the age, but had already had the opportunity to use it several times in defiant defense of her maturity. Mostly to her mother.
