Bend the metal in-to shapes that I know- Characters: Cassie, Tony Setting: A hospital Content: Nothing questionable Summary: Cassie finally has a chance to talk to Tony
Hospitals weren't nice places, you didn't really want to hang out at one, but Cassie had, by choice, spent her evenings at in a particular hospital every day for the past few weeks. After a cursory hello to her step-dad's dad who was a patient at this particular hospital, Cassie would excuse herself to sit in a waiting room and do her homework. At which point she would do the opposite of that and go explore the hospital, hoping to run into someone she hadn't seen since she'd left Earth. The first day she'd been dragged along by her mom and Blake, Cassie overheard nurses talking about Mr. Stark and his frequent appearances here. It was enough to keep Cassie coming back to search for him.
Tony was a genius and an Avenger and maybe he knew something about her dad that her mom just wasn't telling her. Why else wouldn't she give Cassie any news ("I'm not a little kid!" Cassie argued, but her mother simply refused to talk about it), and refuse to let her see any of the Avengers since they'd evacuated to the Sphere. Cassie had managed to contact Tony once, shortly after they arrived, but when Peggy found out she blocked the communication and that was that. She also kept a tight reign on her daughter under which Cassie naturally chafed. Her mom had to know where she was at pretty much all times, and she never got the chance to sneak off to talk to any of the Avengers or look for her father. Encountering Tony here, right where she was supposed to be, was a golden opportunity that she wouldn't waste if she got it.
