"Why not? She's a murderer, too.," it jeered from beneath her, stilling Wanda's body. "What makes you think she or you or anyone else deserves better?" Jessica was suddenly thrown off it as it rose to Wanda's feet and paced in jerking motions around the room. One of her arms hung limply, broken, and it seemed to drag her around with a limp. It paused to idly draw symbols in Wanda's blood on the walls as its rant continued. It knew it had won, had worn Jessica down, and now it relished toying with her. "Humans, you're insignificant. Loathsome. And so whiny. Praying to your dead and imaginary gods to find meaning in your stupid worthless lives. Self-absorbed." The demon turned to stare at her with its wide smile, lowered its voice theatrically.
"You wanna know the big secret, Jesssssica? The meaning of your life?" It ran at her suddenly to yank her by the hair then leaned in close, the putrid scent of decay and tang of blood rolling off its breath only inches from her face. "You're food." The demon pulled harder on her hair, tilting her head back to stare at her with eyes dark as chasms."You spend your whole pointless little life just killing and fucking and having cake. And in the end this disgusting sack of skin is just fodder for worms. And monsters."
The hideous grin it wore widened. "I'm gonna tear you into pieces and eat you down to your bones." Wanda's tongue lolled out over dry cracked lips, and the demon licked up Jessica's face. Along her jawline and cheek, over the membranous lid of her eye, and around to her ear to whisper in it. "And then I'm gonna devour your soul and drag it down to hell." The thing giggled brightly in an imitation of its host. It continued, echoing a memory in Wanda's head, stealing her voice, "Might as well. We don't have anything better to do.."
