That was horrible, terrifying, and all kinds of other appropriate adjectives that Wanda couldn't really think of at the moment because this was simply too much to deal with. So much all at once. She felt her knees giving out, and she reached out to steady herself on Daimon's shoulder, her fingers digging into his shoulder in her panic.
"But how, what do I- how do I-" she shook her head, sucked in a deep shaking breath, and closed her eyes. Her grip on him loosened but she held on, his warm skin reassuring. He was going to help her, he'd come back. This would be okay. It had to be. "I'll check the books," she finally managed, opening her eyes again. There had to be protection spells, Wanda wasn't totally powerless here. "Just, please come back," the plea was a whisper and she met his gaze. Then she let him go and looked away, gesturing for him to leave, hurry. Wanda could handle this here on her own, she'd be fine.
