Wicked didn't say anything at first unable to look at him while he laid into her she was stone faced. If she had killed someone there was no way to come back from that. She would have lost everything and everyone in one angry vengeful move. How did non-mutants handle it when their lives were torn a part because she could do something. That thankfulness for what someone still had never sat with her. It was some heartland christian notion that never stuck with her because she hated church. But then again the only church she had ever attended was in a tent and she was forced by her foster mother so understandably the whole thing left a bad taste in her mouth. She was thankful for her son but it didn't stop the pain, it didn't stop the hate it didn't stop her from feeling useless and pathetic and so angry. It didn't stop her from being sad.
