Silence stretched between them as Colleen took in Danny's confession, eyes still fixed on him. She did know Danny, and therefore she knew that sometimes he took on burdens, blamed himself for things that he had no control over, no matter how many ways or times he looked at it. Frowning, she moved her legs over the edge of the bed and sat directly across him, bringing them back up and sitting crosslegged. "Don't do that to yourself, Danny," she told him. "Whatever it was that was in my system was formidable. They told me it had strong defensive properties, and that isn't your fault. None of it is your fault. You tried, it didn't work, and that's okay. You did the next best thing-- you got me to a hospital. You got me help, and that's enough."
