"I dunno, when I was training in K'un-lun we had to sleep on mats on the ground, so pretty much anything's an improvement to me," Danny shrugged, but then he flashed a sly grin. "But then, I also had a California King in my penthouse." Admittedly he missed that. A lot. No hospital bed, no matter how comfy, could compare.
"I got myself healed, before they could try to treat me," he said, averting his gaze and focusing on finishing his sandwich. For him, the healing was an elephant in the room whenever he talked to Colleen. He'd tried and he'd failed and they both had to live with it. But luckily, at least, she had survived to live it.
